It produced for the Great Western Railway (GWR) and London, Midlands & Scottish Railway (LMS) to promote rail travel to Bristol. The cushion shows a view of the Clifton Suspension Bridge near Bristol in Avon. The bridge was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel (1806-1859) and was completed in 1864. Artwork by Claude Buckle (1905-1973), who originally trained as an architect but turned to fine art in 1928.
